wine tasting, free camping & more
Willamette Valley Oregon

After a stressful two weeks dealing with truck troubles and being in the “Bermuda Triangle”, we decided to turn our trip around and take a detour to see a different part of Oregon. We love wine, so when we heard the Willamette Valley region of Oregon had great vineyards we decided to give it a go! We found a great Harvest Hosts camping spot at a vineyard just along the river. How amazing to be able to camp right next to the vineyard’s grapes! During our stay in Willamette Valley we go on several wine tastings, drink great beer at a traditional farmhouse brewery, and even get a tour of private art installation. It really turned our overall time in Oregon around and was an absolute blast! Watch the video below to see how great Willamette Valley Oregon really is!

suggested vineyards to visit & wine tastings

We promised in the video to share some of the wine tastings we attended, and wished we had gone to. These were from locals and a bit of research on our part. Another great blog with further suggestions can be found here.

  • Arcane Sellers (where we stayed with our Harvest Hosts Membership)
  • Domaine Serene
  • Domaine Drouhin
  • Archery Summit
  • White Rose
  • Penner Ashe
  • Roco

We definitely suggest going to Wolves and People if you enjoy beer. There aren’t many traditional farmhouse breweries left in the United States, and Wolves and People are really doing it right. We loved everything we tried and just really loved the experience of meeting Christian, and of course seeing the Soul Boat art installation was such a treat!

If you’ve been to the Willamette Valley tell us which vineyards or spots are your favorite!
